Here's a sample from my latest ebook, Sole Witness...

Eddie looks at his watch quickly… 4:45. He was hoping to close up early tonight, and the shop lists 5 o’clock as closing time. “Well…” he says, “we’re supposed to close in about 15 minutes.”

Angie’s face falls, and Eddie can read the disappointment in her green eyes. He pities her, and says, “But I guess we could do one more job before closing up.”

She smiles, and the light returns to her face. Eddie grabs his clipboard and tread-gauge and says, “let’s go have a look.”

He walks to the door and opens it for her, listening to the clop-clop of her heels across the tile floor. As she walks past him out the door, he relaxes his discipline, allowing his eyes to look her over more fully for the first time.

Angie is shorter — Eddie guesses about 5’4”, and he’s off by an inch too high — but her petite frame is nicely proportioned. Not quite voluptuous, she’s curvy in the right places and has a sensual sway to her walk. Her long, fiery red hair falls over her shoulders attractively, contrasting with her smooth, porcelain skin and the black, sleeveless a-line dress that fits her perfectly. Today, as often, she is wearing the highest heels she can (a little over 3 inches) to compensate for her diminutive stature, which simultaneously accentuates the shapeliness of her legs and suggests a sexual confidence that she works hard to conceal (most of the time). 

Angie isn’t trying to turn him on, but after a long day of work himself, Eddie finds himself hungry for something other than the supper his wife will make him later. I’d like to see what’s underneath that dress…
